My focus is oral surgery and implant dentistry. I was introduced to dentistry early through my father's profession, and my career has taken me through private practices, specialist surgery clinics and hospitals in Iran, Türkiye and Northern Cyprus. I am committed to precise, patient-centred care and to learning continuously.

The questions patients ask Dr. Mehmet most before they book, answered in his own words.
During the procedure you shouldn't feel pain. We use local anaesthesia, and for patients who are anxious we can also offer sedation. You may feel some pressure, but not pain. Afterwards, it's normal to have some swelling and tenderness for a few days. Most patients manage it well with regular painkillers, and many tell me it was much easier than they expected.
An implant is designed to be a long-term solution. When it's well placed and well looked after, it can last for many years, and for many patients for life. The teeth on top may need maintenance over time, like any restoration. What makes the biggest difference is how you care for it: good daily cleaning, regular check- ups, not smoking, and protecting it if you grind your teeth.
It can be very safe, but it depends on where you go and who treats you, just as it would at home. Ask who will do your surgery and what their training is. Ask which implant brand will be used, and make sure it's a recognised brand you can be treated with in your own country later. At our clinic we use named brands, keep the serial numbers on file, follow strict sterilisation, and give you your plan in writing. And we stay in touch after you fly home.
In many cases, yes. First we look at a 3D scan to see exactly how much bone you have and where. Sometimes we can place implants in a different position or angle to use the bone that's there. Sometimes we need to add bone first with a bone graft, or lift the sinus floor in the upper jaw. I'll explain which option fits your case, and how it affects your timeline, before we start.
It can be, but only in the right case. For teeth to go on the same day, the implants need to be very stable in the bone from the start. If your bone quality allows it, it's an option we can discuss. If not, I prefer to give the implants time to heal first. I'd rather wait a few months than take a risk with something that should last you for many years.
Because the implant needs time to become part of your bone. This process is called osseointegration: the bone grows around the implant and locks it in place. That bond is what lets your new teeth handle normal chewing for years. If we rush it, we put that foundation at risk. So you go home after the first visit, the healing happens naturally, and we stay in touch with you until it's time for your final teeth.
