"Hollywood smile" is a popular name for a full smile makeover, usually veneers or crowns on the teeth that show when you smile. Many people picture very white, identical teeth. That's not what I aim for. A good Hollywood smile is bright and even, but it still fits your face, your lips and your age. The shape, the length and the shade are chosen for you, not copied from a catalogue. When it's done well, people notice that you look great, not that you've had your teeth done.

I start with your face, not your teeth. I look at your facial proportions, your lip line, how much tooth shows when you speak and when you smile, and the shape of your face. A softer, rounder tooth form suits some people; a more defined one suits others. Then I check your skin tone and eye colour to choose a shade that looks natural on you. The goal is a smile that looks like it has always been yours.

Yes, and this is one of the most important steps for me. First you try on a plastic version of your new smile, so you can see the shape and length in your own mouth and tell me what you think. Then we do a second try-in in zirconia, at the dentin stage, to check the fit, the bite and the colour. At each step we can still make changes. You only receive your final teeth once we are both happy with them.

It depends on the condition of each tooth. A veneer covers the front surface, so it's a good choice when the tooth is healthy and mainly needs a change in colour or shape. A crown covers the whole tooth, so it's better when a tooth is weakened, heavily filled or broken. Many smiles end up as a mix of both. I decide tooth by tooth after the examination and X-rays, and I explain the reason for every choice in your plan.

They should, and that's how I judge my own work. Natural teeth aren't one flat colour. They are slightly more translucent at the edges and have small variations in shape. We build those details into your veneers. We also choose a shade that suits your face instead of the whitest one available. And because you see your smile during the try-ins, you're part of that decision before anything is final.

It's a fair question. The short timeline is possible because a lot of the work happens before you arrive: we review your photos and records online and plan your case in advance. At the clinic we work with digital scans and our own lab, so each step, from design to try-in to final fit, happens in days rather than weeks. Nothing is skipped. You still go through every check, and we only finish when the result is right.
